Hirudotherapy, also known as leech therapy.
It has been used to treat a wide range of disorders for thousands of years.
Hirudotherapy is powerful application for the search of leach practice throughout the globe.
We collected data by using different databases provided by Web of Science using the keywords "Hirudotherapy", "leech therapy", "medicinal leech" and "medicinal leech therapy".
To the best of our knowledge, this tool is the first bibliometric and scientometric analysis in Hirudotherapy field.
This study was approved by the Parul university institutional board of research associated with Parul institute of ayurved.
We performed a literature search using combinations of the search terms “hirudotherapy”, “leech therapy”, “children”, “ischemia”, “arterial ischemia” and “limb ischemia” to assess the use of leeches for our indication.
